Program Specialist
As Program Specialist, Lola utilizes her passion for education, a commitment to equity, and her experience in student support, project coordination, and community engagement to implement and sustain education equity, student success initiatives, and teacher retention across Delaware.
During her time as a Senior Career Fellow at Pitzer, Lola supported her peers with career development skills and curated workshops for affinity groups across campus. Practical experience in supporting community-based organizations is also part of Lola’s background. As an AmeriCorps Teaching Assistant through TeenSHARP, she worked with high school students and assisted with program organization, including creating databases for grant applications and scholarship information. Her role as a College Guidance Assistant with Leadership Enterprise for Diverse America further honed her ability to provide support to students on their post secondary pathways. Additionally, Lola has conducted research as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, exploring the dynamics between Black Americans and Black immigrants and their impact on Black spaces. Lola has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Pitzer College. She is excited to contribute her project support skills, her understanding of educational contexts, and her collaborative spirit to the Rodel team.
