Hope Street Group announced its first class of Teaching Fellows last week – which will empower three Delaware educators (along with ten others from Colorado, Ohio, Louisiana, California, Maryland, Tennessee, New York, and Texas) to serve as national spokespeople around teacher quality issues – with Delaware Fellows focusing on our DPAS II teacher evaluation system.

Educators throughout Delaware were encouraged to apply – and the First State responded by submitting the most applications of any state.  The three Fellows from Delaware include:

·         Sherlynn Aurelio – Wilmington, DE (Achievement/Reading Specialist)

·         Doreen Palucci – Middletown, DE (Elementary Transition Specialist)

·         Laura Thompson – Wilmington, DE (Reaching and Language Arts Teacher)

We congratulate these three individuals and look forward to hearing their voices around this critical work in both local and national conversations.

Hope Street Group’s mission is to connect practitioners and policymakers in order to further the development of policies critical to student success – with particular emphasis on teacher evaluation systems.  Hope Street Group is currently involved in the development of multiple measures for our statewide DPAS II evaluation system.
