Upcoming Community Forums on Educator Compensation
In July, the Governor signed Senate Bill 254, which created a framework for an improved compensation system and established a committee of representatives, including members of the education community, legislators, and budget experts to develop a plan. The committee began meeting at the end of July and since September, they have hosted two virtual town halls, held two Educator Work Group meetings (with two more planned in early November),and met with many educator and community groups to gain feedback and inform their work. Now, the committee seeks to further engage and hear input from educators and community members across the state at five Community Forums to provide an update on the proposal being developed as well as hear ideas and gather feedback to inform their final proposal.
The upcoming community forums listed below are opportunities to learn more about the plan being developed to advance educators compensation and careers and to provide your feedback.
