Research Associate, Rodel Foundation of Delaware
Description: As a Research Associate, you will work with the policy and communications team to accomplish our mission by supporting state and local leadership and many partner organizations. You will have the opportunity to be involved vast projects covering topics including teacher and leader quality, education innovation, personalized learning, college and career readiness, and early childhood education. This position is an ideal role for entry level educators and researchers interested in furthering their knowledge of education policy. Program Officer, Rodel Foundation of Delaware
Description:The Program Officer is responsible for providing leadership, strategic input, and management of Rodel and outside partner projects on various topics, with a focus on human capital and personalization. The role requires strong critical thinking, analytic, management, and leadership skills, a roll‐up‐your sleeves mentality, good judgment, and the ability to manage complex local and national partnerships.

Delaware Department of Education

Three leadership positions are open:

  • Position: Director, Delaware Higher Education Office
    Description: As Director of the Delaware Higher Education Office, the core of your work is to ensure our state-wide college readiness efforts translate into expanded college access and success for our students. You and your team will provide the key link between our higher education, early learning, and K-12 communities, ensuring our resources, initiatives, policies, and efforts represent a coherent strategy that dramatically improves outcomes for our children.Start date: May 20.   • Position: Chief of Staff, Teacher & Leadership Effectiveness Unit and Project Management Office, Race to the Top
    Description: The Chief-of-Staff role within the Teacher & Leader Effectiveness Unit and Project Management Office (PMO) is designed to attract results-driven, motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are seeking to accelerate Delaware’s efforts to fully deliver on all of its Race to the Top (RTTT) and statewide education agenda pledges. The role would work side-by-side with the state’s Chief Officer of the Teacher & Leader Effectiveness Unit to create operational systems, drive mission-critical projects, and manage key processes within the TLEU and DDOE while working across the entire organization on strategic planning, data analysis, and school improvement issues.   • Position: Executive Director, Charter School Office

Delaware Association for the Education of Young Children

The mission of the Delaware Association for the Education of Young Children (DAEYC) is to strengthen the early care and education community by developing leadership; promoting high quality early care and education; and building community support. Three positions are open:

  • Position: Career Advisement Coordinator
    Description: The Career Advisement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and providing career advisement to Delaware’s prospective and existing early care and education and school-age care professionals.Closing date: April 22. More information and application instructions here.

Consultant, Delaware Office of Early Learning
Description: The Delaware Office of Early Learning (OEL) is seeking a half-time or more consultant (20 hours of work or more each week) to serve as the lead staff for the establishment and staffing of the Delaware Business Roundtable’s Commission on Early Education and the Economy.  This Commission will serve as the state’s leading business voice in support of state-level public investment in effective early learning programs.  The Office of Early Learning is responsible for staffing this new Commission of the Roundtable, as part of its ongoing community engagement and sustainability work for early learning and child development.

Team Facilitator, Delaware Early Child Center (DECC)
Description: The primary role of a Team Facilitator is to support the development of a functional community team where voices from a variety of perspectives are heard and respected. Team Facilitators work with one or more Community Readiness Teams as they develop and complete their community readiness assessment, design an action plan, and implement strategies based on their plan.  All members of the project follow a multi-faceted approach to readiness using the Delaware Readiness Equation: Ready Families + Ready Early Care and Education + Ready Communities + Ready School = Ready Children.
