Job title: Program Director

Summary: Rodel seeks a Program Director with expertise in either student postsecondary pathways or teacher preparation pathways and with experience building the capacity of adults to change education systems for students. The Program Director will draw upon experience working in school district leadership or teacher preparation program leadership to help build and grow programmatic supports for school district partners across Delaware.

Position Description: A successful program director will provide leadership in building out Rodel’s technical assistance capacity to support the creative implementation and design of sound public-private partnerships that further our vision and mission. This individual will focus on cultivating and managing high-level relationships with school, district, state, higher education, and non-profit partners to design high-quality technical assistance that supports the diversification of the educator workforce and strengthens Delaware’s career pathways system. A strong candidate will be able to demonstrate strong facilitation and design skills, ability to identify and build partnerships, experience as a school, district, or higher education leader in the pre-k to postsecondary system, and ability to effectively manage projects from conception to completion.

What You’ll Do:
Build Student- and Educator-Centered Programs

  • Expand Rodel’s technical assistance partnerships across the state specifically related to
    two of Rodel’s current priorities: teacher diversity and career pathways
  • Develop the capacity of partners to sustain and own work beyond the life of Rodel’s
    support
  • Use multiple data sources to consistently evaluate and adjust strategy, programs, and
    supports
  • In partnership with the programmatic team, identify and manage outside contractors and
    coaches, as needed, to support the successful implementation of projects
  • In partnership with Vice President, refine and update programmatic strategy, identify
    resource needs, and develop and track programmatic budgets

 

Foster Relationships with Partners

  • Grow, develop, and maintain relationships with key programmatic partners including
    school, district, government, community, and higher education leaders
  • Identify potential new areas of work and new partnerships in service of Rodel’s mission
    and to grow our impact across the state, including assist in the development of proposals
    to philanthropic partners
  • Research and identify best practices within Delaware and outside of it

 

Manage High-Performing Team

  • Manage team to lead programmatic efforts including facilitation of district, school, and
    higher education partners on projects such as the creation of sustainable residency
    programs, technical assistance on development of Grow Your Own programs, and data
    use coaching/support with district and higher education partners
  • Coach team members to further Rodel’s goals and support staff development and
    growth

  • Experience working, and building partnerships, with senior leaders across education and government to design, implement, and improve programs from conception to execution

  • Exercise judgment in alignment with Rodel’s values
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experienced in effective facilitation of diverse partners, including session design and presentation
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
  • A desire to self-reflect, give and receive feedback, and continuously improve
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
  • Experience developing new partnerships and growing a body of work in support of organizational mission and goals is a plus

 

Compensation and Benefits

Rodel is an equal opportunity employer, offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including dedicated professional development resources to support your growth in the role.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000, commensurate with education and experience.
